Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Experience with cleaning and maintaining various types of surfaces and materials.
• Familiarity with the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
• Good communication skills for interacting with staff and patients in a healthcare setting.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, and public areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and areas to prevent the spread of infection and maintain a safe environment.
• Manage and dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations and address any housekeeping-related issues promptly.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department to ensure facility upkeep.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and protocols to protect oneself and others.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from patients or staff regarding housekeeping services.
