About The Position

The EVS position is located at The Stables Casino and is under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager and indirect supervision of the General Manager. The role supports environmental services operations by inspecting assigned areas and ensuring casino and public-area cleanliness standards are met. It includes maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary spaces; responding to departmental cleaning and groundskeeping requests; and providing prompt, courteous service to guests and staff. The employee also identifies and reports cleaning-supply and equipment needs, maintains equipment and work areas, and performs other duties or special projects as directed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have one to two years of related experience or training.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License.
May be subject to a criminal background investigation.
Must have proficient data-entry skills.
Must demonstrate high integrity when handling confidential and sensitive information.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating and maintaining all types of cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the casino and public areas.
Follow safe work habits and ensure the team follows safety protocols.
Respond to cleaning or groundskeeping requests from other departments.
Identify and report cleaning-supply orders and equipment needs to the Maintenance Manager.
Provide prompt, courteous service to internal and external guests.
Maintain the cleanliness of the casino, restrooms, and offices.
Vacuum carpets, empty trash, wipe down trash cans, dust areas, and clean window glass.
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and use equipment associated with the position, including vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms, and floor machines.
Maintain work areas and ensure environmental services equipment is free of safety violations.
Immediately report hazardous conditions or broken equipment to management.
Perform other duties and special projects as needed and directed.
Maintain working relationships with Company staff and applicable regulatory commissions and agencies to support compliance.
Perform duties in accordance with gaming operations core values, Modoc Nation objectives, internal control policies and procedures, applicable laws, and gaming regulations.
