About The Position

This is a Full-Time Position located at the Dougherty County Health Department/ Albany, Georgia. The paygrade/salary ranges from A-$24,111.36, B-$25,316.93, or C-$27,911.92, based on qualifications/experience. Job Code(s): FES040, FES041, FES042.

Requirements

  • Any combination of training and experience that would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must have official transcript prior to start date.
  • Ability to bend and reach up and involves pushing, pulling, and some heavy lifting.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Male applicants between 18 and 26 years of age must present proof of Selective Service Registration.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or facility maintenance
  • One or more years of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service and responds to visitor inquiries.
  • Maintains HIPAA standards related to Privacy and Security.
  • Maintains CPR Certification.
  • Performs duties to maintain the cleanliness of the building, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning countertops, removing trash, and cleaning trash cans.
  • May be required to shampoo carpets and strip and wax floors.
  • Moves and arranges furniture as requested.
  • Opens/unlocks and/or closes/locks the building daily.
  • On occasion, may work nontraditional and/or weekend hours as assigned to support health department activities.
  • Acts as a courier within the building and between the post office and the district health office, etc.
  • On occasion, works outside to set up tents, tables, chairs, equipment, etc. to support special events.
  • This position will require driving company vehicles.
  • Responds to Public Health Emergencies
