About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian’s housekeeping staff helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients and their families at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. This role maintains cleanliness and supports a culture of compassion, caring, warmth, and support within the hospital. The Housekeeping Worker spends time building relationships with patients and families, provides superior customer service, and helps ensure their comfort and safety. The position is part-time on the evening shift, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with regular schedules on weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Ability to handle automatic floor scrubbing machines, floor buffers, and wet and dry vacuum.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Hotel, restaurant, or retail experience.
- Customer service experience.
