About The Position
At NewYork-Presbyterian’s Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the Transporter helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients and their families. The role transports patients to areas throughout the hospital while demonstrating compassion, warmth, and support. The Transporter communicates courteously, responds to patient needs and inquiries promptly, builds relationships with patients and families, and delivers customer service that supports patient comfort and safety. This is a part-time evening position from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with schedules that include weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients to areas throughout the hospital.
