About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor position is responsible for supervising all work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure cleanliness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Eighteen (18) years of age.
• Effective communication skills with ability to write correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one or small group situations to direct reports, guests, clients and other team members.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach and carry up to forty (40) pounds or more.
• Standing or walking for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to weather conditions; occasional janitorial duties.
• Must obtain non-gaming license upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Three to six months related experience/training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows sanitizing and cleaning protocols.
• Prepares room assignments for staff.
• Assigns duties to housekeeping staff and inspects to ensure proper protocol is followed.
• Advises front desk staff and/or hotel manager of rooms ready for occupancy.
• Maintains and performs inventory on all necessary supplies.
• Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping services and/or equipment and takes corrective action.
• Examines lobby, halls and other common areas to determine if repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment is needed.
• Conducts departmental orientation for new team members to explain policies, procedures and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
• Performs administrative tasks relating to personnel matters, prepares periodic reports and attends staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.
