About The Position
The Porter Department provides a safe and friendly environment for guests and team members by establishing and maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas of the casino in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must obtain non-gaming license upon hire.
- Ability to handle diverse situations and/or people.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; work closely with other departments.
- Excellent guest service skills.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness of all areas as directed by Porter Supervisor or Manager.
- Janitorial cleaning for all assigned areas as directed by porter manager and/or supervisor.
- Removes trash, replaces ashtrays, and wipes and cleans all ashtrays and trash cans.
- Customer service, to include providing service and information to guests.
- Cleans between slot machines, removes glasses and trash, and discards all empty bottles around guests and maintains those areas without disrupting play.
- Keeps all slot chairs/table chairs clean in assigned areas.
- Heavy cleaning such as shampooing carpets, stripping and waxing floors, pressure washing, emptying trash cans, and performing bio-hazard clean-up.
- Maintains all porter department equipment and supplies in an orderly manner.
- Report all equipment malfunctioning and supply shortages.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks all restrooms in assigned areas.
- Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.
