Housekeeping Supervisor
About The Position
A Kolter Hospitality Housekeeping Supervisor delivers service excellence to guests and helps create a larger-than-home, welcoming experience. The position supervises daily housekeeping operations and assists with administration of housekeeping services in a safe and efficient manner. The supervisor coordinates and assigns work to housekeeping staff, communicates performance standards, supports staff development, and oversees cleaning and inspection of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role also includes maintaining supplies and inventory, following lost-and-found procedures, reporting repair needs, and adhering to safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience overseeing or directing a team.
- Able to work most weekends and holidays.
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
Nice To Haves
- Hotel experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise housekeeping staff.
- Break out the house and provide the team with daily assignments.
- Evaluate staff job performance and coach and counsel as necessary.
- Communicate performance standards and ensure required training occurs.
- Perform and supervise cleaning and inspection of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Ensure compliance with proper cleaning techniques, procedures, and brand standards.
- Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory.
- Follow proper lost-and-found procedures for items left behind in guest rooms.
- Report items in need of repair.
- Follow all safety procedures while working.
- Provide personalized guest service and handle workplace problems effectively.
