About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees housekeeping staff and helps ensure guest rooms and public areas meet company cleanliness standards. The role includes scheduling and assigning work, inspecting rooms and public areas, training and supervising associates, and assisting with room cleaning when needed. The supervisor also manages lost-and-found records, room reports, repair work orders, and inventories of guest supplies, linens, and cleaning products.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hotel housekeeping experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspect rooms to a high standard.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using hotel property management systems and housekeeping reports.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Hotel housekeeping experience.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role is preferred.
• Experience inspecting rooms and coaching associates.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare staff schedules and complete the work distribution report, ensuring all sections are covered.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure they are cleaned according to company standards.
• Assist with room cleaning when required for operations.
• Train and supervise new associates and provide ongoing training for current staff.
• Check for early make-ups, special requests, and VIPs.
• Maintain written records for lost and found.
• Run a departure report and recheck all rooms in the assigned section.
• Write work orders for repairs and immediately report broken door locks or safety hazards to management.
• Maintain inventory of guest supplies, linens, and cleaning products.
