About The Position

As a Housekeeping Specialist at MGM Grand, you are responsible for maintaining and repairing housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums, to support a seamless guest experience. The role includes proactive preventive maintenance and following safety procedures while contributing to memorable guest stays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Replace out-of-order vacuums with working vacuums and repair vacuums with minor problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on vacuum cleaners used by Guest Room Attendants and House Persons.
• Deliver vacuums with motor or electrical problems to Facilities for repair and retrieve repaired vacuums from Facilities.
• Replace energy-saving light bulbs on lamps as assigned.
• Recheck the expiration dates on hotel hand fire extinguishers monthly.
• Handle two-way communication radios and respond to incoming calls on a beeper.
• Follow safety procedures.
