About The Position

As a Food Runner at Grand Wok inside MGM Grand, you will help create an exceptional dining experience by delivering authentic, wok-fired cuisine with speed, precision, and genuine hospitality. You will bring energy and excitement to the dining room, present each dish confidently, and share knowledge of the culinary offerings. Through attentive service and a passion for guest satisfaction, you will help create memorable experiences that reflect the spirit and standards of MGM Grand.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of previous experience as a Food Runner or Server in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Experience working in a similar resort setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
• Expedite food from the kitchen to the table according to the sequence of service and instructions from the Chef or kitchen expediter.
• Describe dishes when placing them on the table and answer questions about them.
• Describe menu features as needed, including changes and additions.
• Communicate with the expediter to ensure food is delivered to the correct table and position.
• Perform assigned opening and closing side work.
• Communicate guest needs to the kitchen, inform management of guest reactions and comments, and assist management in ensuring smooth operations and quality service.
• Check the dining area, tables, and chairs for cleanliness and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the station and service area.
