About The Position
The Housekeeping Runner at La Concha Resort delivers guest requests directly to rooms and provides service in keeping with company standards. The role includes maintaining and cleaning equipment, checking with a supervisor about special situations, anticipating replenishment needs, and understanding room-service steps such as setting up amenities. The employee is expected to stay informed about hotel operations, daily events, changes, and procedures; maintain a clean and professional appearance; safeguard confidential information and company assets; follow safety and security procedures; and build positive working relationships while supporting team goals. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Hospitality-oriented.
- Able to bend, squat, stretch, and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
- Available for overnight shifts beginning at 10:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays.
- Able and willing to perform basic cleaning duties.
- Good communication skills in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
- Deliver guest requests directly to guest rooms.
- Maintain and clean all equipment used.
- Check with the supervisor about special situations and give them immediate attention.
- Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
- Follow room-service steps, including setting up amenities and performing related tasks.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations; check daily event sheets and bulletin boards and remain current on changes, procedures, and events.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
