About The Position

The part-time Housekeeping Room Attendant at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in the Charlotte/Ballantyne area maintains clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests. The scheduled hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weekday and weekend availability is required. Employees work primarily indoors and may be asked to perform duties outside their usual responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Ability to stand during the entire shift and for long periods.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Time-management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees at all levels and with guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Ability to kneel, bend, crawl, squat, and crouch.
Ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum weight of approximately 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
Complete pre-cleaning duties, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen on the housekeeping cart.
Remove trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
Keep hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
Restock the housekeeping cleaning cart for the next day's use.
Replenish chemical bottles.
Report missing room items, such as irons, ironing boards, and hair dryers, to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
Immediately report maintenance repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
Handle lost-and-found items according to standards.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
