About The Position

The Housekeeping QA Inspector is responsible for performing final, detailed inspections of units after cleaning is complete to ensure they meet brand standards. This role involves verifying cleanliness, stocking levels, and identifying any maintenance issues or damage. The inspector will also audit third-party housekeeping performance, provide feedback, and manage linen programs. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and proficiency with technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years in housekeeping inspection, executive housekeeping, or rooms management in a hotel or premium short-term rental setting.

  • Proficiency with Technology: Comfort using PMS, inspection apps, and communication tools (Hosteeva, WhatsApp).
  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to provide firm, fair feedback to vendor staff and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Time Management: Ability to efficiently inspect multiple units under time pressure, especially during high-occupancy turnover days.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final, detailed inspections of every unit after HUS cleaning is complete using a standardized digital checklist (Hosteeva)
  • Inspect all areas including living spaces, bedrooms, kitchens (appliances, cabinets), bathrooms, balconies, and closets for cleanliness, spotlessness, and order
  • Verify all amenities are fully stocked and aligned with DOMUS brand standards (e.g., coffee kits, toiletries, linens)
  • Identify and document maintenance issues, damage, or missing items; create immediate work orders for the engineering team
  • Officially update unit status from “Cleaned” to “Inspected & Verified – Guest Ready” in the PMS; no unit released without QA sign-off
  • Audit third-party Housekeeping Service (HUS) performance against SLA
  • Provide immediate, constructive feedback and retraining to HUS supervisors for any deficiencies
  • Document recurring quality issues and participate in weekly performance reviews with HUS management and operations leadership
  • Oversee daily linen and towel replacement program to ensure effectiveness and hygiene
  • Supervise systematic rotation of linen stock to ensure even wear and tear
  • Conduct weekly audits of linen closet par levels and coordinate with laundry vendor to prevent shortages
  • Inspect laundered items and reject any stained, frayed, or damaged linens and towels
  • Generate daily QA reports outlining units inspected, pass/fail rates, common defects, and HUS performance metrics
  • Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with Front Desk/Guest Services regarding room status and delays
  • Escalate critical issues impacting guest arrivals to the Director of Operations immediately
  • Uphold and enforce all DOMUS brand standards, safety protocols, and loss prevention policies
  • Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations
