About The Position
Maintain hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, to provide a suitable environment for the care of patients and for the works of the hospital staff and employees.
Requirements
- Experience in housekeeping for a business, facility, or institution, with preference to work in a hospital setting required.
- Supervisory experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior hospital experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedure, as well as knowledge of chemicals, equipment, and supplies used in a health care facility.
- Knowledge of safety practices as related to housekeeping duties.
- Working skill in the operation of manual and powered cleaning equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions and schedules.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks and tolerate contact with a variety of cleaning products and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects, stand for a long period of time, and to perform manual labor.
- Ability to perform cleaning/housekeeping duties in patient occupied areas.
