About The Position

This is a unit-based position that supervises nursing staff on one of four treatment units. Responsibilities include participation in treatment team meetings, therapeutic program activities, and ensuring delivery of patient care according to the individual treatment plans. This position acts as the point of leadership for a team of health care professionals by guiding, coaching and evaluating staff. Utilize nursing process with knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric disorders and physical, psychological and social needs of the psychiatric patient. Skills in delegating nursing activities, skills in supervising, and counseling nursing employees. Demonstrates competency as defined on Competency Assessment.

Requirements

Basic Computer Knowledge
Virginia State Board of Registered Nursing License

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing
Med-surg nursing experience
Previous supervisory experience
Long Term Care and Nursing Home Experience
Experience working with Electronic Health Records
