About The Position

This position involves communication and clerical duties for all Mesquite Gaming properties, assisting management with the smooth operation of the department. The role ensures that all rooms are reported with the correct status, confirming hotel rooms are ready for occupancy. Responsibilities include adjusting assignments and staffing schedules based on occupancy and understanding, complying with, and enforcing company and department policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • Quality control, customer relations and ability to follow procedures required.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and detailed oriented skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
  • Excellent communication, phone and computer skills required.
  • Basic math required.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with all departments, ensuring hotel is ready for occupancy.
  • Prepare all paperwork and reports as scheduled.
  • Motivate, encourage and train as needed.
  • Recommend employees for recognition and/or counseling with accompanying documentation.
  • Maintain condition of rooms and buildings by reporting maintenance issues.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management, including GRA, House Person and Team Leader duties.
  • Give accurate directions, guiding the guest if needed.
  • Tell the guest to “have fun” and “come again”.
  • Tell about the properties and amenities to encourage the guest to have fun.
