About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Housekeeping Manager for a Fairfield Inn. The manager schedules room and cleaning assignments, inspects suites and public areas, performs housekeeping tasks as needed, monitors room status and cleanliness, reports maintenance needs, and leads direct reports through hiring, coaching, and discipline.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (2) years in a housekeeping management position, as written in the posting.
• Minimum of a high school education.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Inspect assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, and linens are clean and in good repair.
• Perform necessary housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
• Verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Select assigned rooms at random to check cleanliness and counsel housekeepers on discrepancies.
• Notify the General Manager and/or Chief Engineer of necessary maintenance repairs.
• Hire, coach, and discipline direct reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
