About The Position

The Housekeeping Manager oversees the performance of housekeeping staff and ensures that the hotel facility is clean and sanitized. The role maintains standards of presentation, maintenance, and cleanliness throughout the hotel while ensuring guest safety and confidentiality. It supervises housekeeping staff and includes variable hours based on business needs, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts.

Requirements

At least two years of housekeeping experience.
Able to speak and understand basic English.
Able to work independently and exercise good judgment to resolve issues.
Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and frequently lifting or moving items over 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of supervisor experience.
High school education.

Responsibilities

Ensure operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
Establish schedules and plan daily work assignments.
Train and coach employees in laundry, housekeeping, and dry cleaning.
Manage customer housekeeping problems.
Inspect and approve staff work performance.
Provide leadership and training to staff and develop staff knowledge of policies.
Communicate effectively with staff.
Meet production goals.
Order cleaning materials and maintain the budget.
Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
