About The Position

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Janitor Attendant. The incumbent cleans operating room suites, mops floors, and takes out trash, linen, and case carts. The role also includes terminally cleaning operating rooms, helping return suites to readiness for the next day’s service, and following facility standards and guidelines for teamwork, appearance, and personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Up to one year of position-related experience required.
• Willingness to work on unscheduled days to help the unit achieve adequate coverage.
• Ability to set priorities and assist others as needs arise.
• Understanding of the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Clean and terminally clean operating room suites, including when no procedure has been performed, as needed and according to the terminal clean process assignment.
• Mop floors and take out trash, linen, and case carts.
• Visually inspect operating room suites to ensure they are ready for next-day service.
• Work on unscheduled days when needed to help the unit achieve adequate coverage.
• Set priorities and assist others as needs arise.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear a visible picture ID badge consistent with the dress code.
• Understand the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Promote teamwork and positive relations in accordance with facility standards and guidelines.
