About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseperson supports housekeeping operations at The Churchill Hotel by maintaining guest hallways and common areas, handling trash and soiled linen, and keeping housekeeping carts stocked with clean linen and glasses. The role may require varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a motor vehicle record (MVR) check demonstrating a safe driving record with no significant violations. Pay is $18.40 per hour.

• Ability to work in a standard office environment; the listed physical requirements include prolonged sitting at a desk and computer work for 6–8 hours per day, occasional standing and walking, frequent fine motor skills, verbal and written communication, occasional bending, reaching, or carrying, and ability to lift or move 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to read computer screens and printed materials, hear and participate in conversations and meetings, and use a phone or headset. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest hallways and corridors.
• Remove trash from hallway trash cans, housekeeping carts, and guest rooms, and deposit it in the trash dumpster.
• Vacuum guest hallways, elevators, carpet edges, and stairwells; clean elevators; shampoo carpets and mop floors when needed.
• Clean vending areas, including ice, candy, and soda machines.
• Dust hallway light fixtures, fire extinguisher boxes, railings, and similar areas.
• Move soiled linen from housekeeping carts to the laundry room using laundry carts.
• Restock housekeeping carts with clean linen as needed by room attendants.
• Take dirty glasses from guest rooms to the dishwasher in the kitchen or housekeeping area for cleaning.
• Restock clean glasses as needed.
