About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains high standards of functionality and cleanliness throughout the hotel grounds, including pools, property, parking areas, buildings, and equipment. The role includes cleaning up litter and debris, maintaining safe conditions in parking areas and walkways, moving supplies and materials, assisting with equipment moves, and documenting inspections, maintenance, and repairs in daily work order logs. The position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the listed physical demands. Pay is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and rotate 50 pounds or more.
Manual dexterity to operate and grasp tools.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours a day.

Nice To Haves

Trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification is a plus.
One year of experience in general maintenance and repair work at hotels preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA safety and chemical standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean up litter and debris around all facilities and properly dispose of refuse.
Prioritize daily grounds tasks established by the supervisor or manager for themselves and other employees as required.
Remove snow, apply salt, and maintain safe conditions in parking areas and walkways.
Load and unload trucks and other conveyances, and move supplies and materials to the proper location using wheelbarrows and/or hand trucks.
Assist with safely moving heavy machinery and equipment as needed.
Complete daily work order logs documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, work performed, materials used, and hours worked on assigned work orders.
