About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a Housekeeping - Houseperson for the Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway. This role supports the housekeeping team by maintaining clean public spaces, assisting room attendants, and providing requested items to guests. The Houseperson helps create a memorable guest experience through attention to detail and care in preparing and maintaining hotel spaces. The position requires frequent movement around the property and the ability to handle housekeeping supplies and equipment.

Requirements

Housekeeping experience is desirable.
Neat appearance and pleasant personality.
Time management skills.
Ability to work on one's feet for an extended period.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach floor corners and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; and position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs. in tight spaces.
Ability to operate spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
Work as part of a team to maintain resort or hotel cleanliness.
Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shifts to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen.
Pick up clean linen and refill linen par stock in each floor pantry.
Deliver towels, cribs, cots, and other requested items to guest rooms.
Perform room attendant duties when necessary.
Refill guest amenities and supplies in each floor pantry.
Assist room attendants with heavy lifting during super cleaning or spring cleaning of rooms.
Clean public areas according to department standard operating procedures.
Remove soiled linen and trash from service areas and take them to appropriate locations according to procedure.
Respond to guests and team members in a friendly and helpful manner.
