About The Position

The Housekeeping/Floor Tech provides a superior level of cleaning quality in a hospital environment and helps create a safe, clean, and comfortable setting where patients can heal. The role is based at Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center. Available schedules include part-time PM housekeeping, full-time overnight housekeeping, and full-time PM floor technician positions, depending on facility needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
Stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 pounds on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
Handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant work, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned hospital areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas.
Follow HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
