About The Position

Minden Medical Center is seeking a dependable housekeeping/porter (EVS Technician) for night shift to help keep our acute care hospital—and attached IPF, IRF, surgical areas, and related clinics—clean, safe, and sanitary. This role supports patient safety, staff wellbeing, and regulatory readiness through consistent environmental services. Key responsibilities include routine and terminal cleaning of patient rooms, offices, and shared spaces; following infection prevention and EVS standards; performing floor care (strip, wax, buff, and maintain hard surfaces); and traveling to outer-building clinics/offices as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3 months healthcare or commercial housekeeping/Floor Tech experience preferred
• Current active/clear Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Routine and terminal cleaning of patient rooms, offices, and shared spaces
• Following infection prevention and EVS standards
• Performing floor care (strip, wax, buff, and maintain hard surfaces)
• Traveling to outer-building clinics/offices as assigned
• Documenting completed work
• Restocking essentials
• Handling occasional urgent requests
