About The Position
Performs housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital. The role cleans patient rooms, discharge rooms, precaution rooms, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, utility rooms, nourishment stations, corridors, and ancillary areas in accordance with hospital and department standards. Duties include disinfecting surfaces, cleaning and maintaining floors, and maintaining equipment. The position also assists with training new personnel. The listed schedule is 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM for 16 hours.
Requirements
- 0–1 year(s) of work experience required.

Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures, including proper disinfection of surfaces, restrooms, and floors.
- Clean patient discharges.
- Clean precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.
- Clean all restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Vacuum carpets according to department procedures.
- Clean utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean corridors and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean, strip, refinish, spray-buff, shampoo, and maintain floors.
- Operate automatic floor machines, buffing machines, shampooing machines, and vacuums.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.
- Assist in training new personnel.
