About The Position

The Housekeeping Attendant regularly performs a full range of housekeeping services at a Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and/or Navy Lodge property. Work includes cleaning guest rooms, public and exterior spaces, storage areas, and laundry rooms; handling linens and supplies; and using hand and powered cleaning equipment. The role also includes maintaining guest privacy and security, welcoming guests, reporting room status and unusual circumstances, and following safety and security protocols. The position is part-time and offers benefits.

Requirements

No experience required.
Moderate physical effort, including moving furniture and using hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms and assigned areas, including bathrooms, kitchens, furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, waxers, and polishers; perform scheduled carpet cleaning and deep cleaning.
Replace bed linens and room amenities; inspect mattresses and pull-out sofas; and reposition beds as required.
Maintain guest relations while protecting guest privacy and security.
Clean corridors, stairways, guest laundry areas, patios, balconies, storage rooms, parking lots, and outside passageways.
Communicate the status of cleaned rooms and other spaces to the supervisor or through the property management system.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and report major repair or replacement needs.
Assist with receiving, sorting, storing, and delivering supplies; load and unload vehicles and move heavy items using a hand truck as needed.
Manage assigned keys and return them at the end of each shift.
Immediately report unusual room conditions, lost and found items, and other specified circumstances to the supervisor.
Set up, maintain, and clean up the complimentary breakfast bar when assigned; prepare, heat, display, and replenish breakfast items.
Complete required safety and security training and follow applicable safety procedures and NHG protocols.
Perform laundry operations at the facility.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
