About The Position

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for keeping the community clean and safe for residents, families, team members, and visitors. Duties include cleaning common areas and, when assigned, resident apartments, including personal laundry, bed linens, and towels. The role also includes cleaning vacant units, maintaining housekeeping and laundry carts, handling community laundry, and following procedures for emergencies, biohazardous waste, and chemical storage.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred; GED accepted.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Physically able to bend and reach.
Physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 40–50 pounds if necessary.
Physically able to stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Clean resident apartments as assigned.
Clean common areas, including halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, and model units.
Clean vacant units as assigned.
Ensure public restrooms are clean.
Maintain housekeeping and laundry carts.
Wash and dry community laundry using appropriate products.
Follow the posted work schedule, arrive on time, and wear appropriate work attire.
Follow emergency procedures, including those for accidental misuse of chemicals.
Follow proper practices for handling biohazardous waste.
Keep the laundry room clean and store chemicals according to proper procedures.
Report on-the-job injuries to the Plant Operations Director or Business Office Director.
Communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Supervisor, Plant Operations Director, and other team members.
Notify the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Plant Operations Director when supplies need to be reordered.
