About The Position

Experience Senior Living is seeking an Environmental Services Associate (Housekeeper) to help maintain clean, orderly, and sanitary resident apartments, public areas, and community spaces. The role performs housekeeping and laundry duties, maintains utility and laundry areas, disinfects equipment and supplies, and helps keep cleaning supplies and waste-disposal areas in order. The associate also reports resident health or living-status changes and safety or maintenance concerns, and completes maintenance work orders when repairs are needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas and resident apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including distributing laundered articles and linens; replacing and hanging draperies; changing beds; cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies; sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies; dusting furniture and equipment; polishing metalwork; and washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Wash, dry, iron, fold, hang, and distribute resident laundry, community linens, and textiles using provided appliances.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, including regularly mopping floors and washing walls.
• Wash community windows at reasonable heights as requested.
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies.
• Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area; coordinate with maintenance to keep trash and dumpster areas clean.
• Complete maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Promptly report resident issues or changes in health or living status to the appropriate person.
• Promptly report potentially unsafe conditions and maintenance-related issues to the supervisor.
• Dust and polish apartment furniture and items, including picture frames and mirrors.
• Wash and disinfect countertops and sink areas according to specified procedures; mop and disinfect bathrooms and floors; vacuum carpeted areas; refill paper products and soap dispensers; and empty trash.
• Perform detailed cleaning assignments and provide customer service with attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
