About The Position

The Facilities Management Department is looking for a Housekeeping and Events Setup Worker for Custodial Services. This entry-level position includes facilities cleaning and events setup duties. The role involves picking up trash, including on weekends, and setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and other equipment for events. Other duties may be required as needed. A strong work ethic, excellent cleaning skills, quality control, and teamwork are essential. The successful candidate will possess a passion for their work and believe in the mission of Marymount University.

Requirements

High School Diploma preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
Successful completion of background check upon employment.

Responsibilities

Cleaning of facilities and trash removal.
Setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events.
Communicates with University management, customers, and staff to ensure needs are met and cleaning standards are achieved.
Performs cleaning service requests and event setup requirements.
Uses the required supplies and equipment made available to staff to meet quality cleaning standards.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Communicates effectively and respectfully with staff, customers, and the University community.
Works under the direct supervision of the Custodial Supervisor.
Physical condition adequate to perform job functions.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Non-shift hours, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
