HOUSEKEEPER (PART TIME)
About The Position
Coreworks is hiring a part-time Housekeeper at the Des Moines Wellness Center in Johnston, Iowa. The position performs light cleaning duties to maintain a clean and orderly establishment, including cleaning rooms and halls, making beds, replenishing linens, and vacuuming. No prior experience is required, and training is available. The fixed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; additional details may be provided during the interview. The role involves providing attentive customer service, responding to guest requests and housekeeping problems, and contributing professionally to team efforts.
Requirements
- No prior experience required; willing to train.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, quality customer service.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers, and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Respond to housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contribute to team efforts and act professionally with customers, fellow associates, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
