About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a part-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe environment in a long-term care facility. The role involves cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices; following sanitation and infection-control procedures; keeping records of cleaning activities; and reporting maintenance or safety issues. The Housekeeper is also expected to interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service. The starting pay rate is $18.04 per hour, with actual wages varying according to factors such as location, years of experience, staffing needs, and other business reasons.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Be able to work around cleaning products.
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of all areas following established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
