About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a part-time Housekeeper at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, NY. The position performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments in a clean and orderly manner, including cleaning rooms and halls, replenishing linens, making beds, and vacuuming. The role emphasizes detailed customer service, professionalism, and teamwork. Prior experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train. The schedule is part time, with days that may vary, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Weekend availability is required; further scheduling details will be provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $17.87 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

Provide detailed, one-on-one customer service.
Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash sanitarily.
Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
Wipe down glass surfaces.
Make beds and change linens as required.
Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
Respond to guest queries and requests.
Respond to housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
Contribute to team efforts and demonstrate professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
