About The Position

A busy, active household of four in Brooklyn is seeking a weekend housekeeper. The home has two children, both of whom have nannies, and a rooftop garden that the housekeeper will maintain. The family is seeking a fluent Spanish speaker. The position is Saturday and Sunday, with flexible hours for the right fit. A full-time housekeeper works Monday through Friday, so the weekend housekeeper will help keep the household running smoothly over the weekend.

The role combines housekeeping with light household-management responsibilities, including cleaning and tidying, laundry and garment care, household organization, inventory oversight, and rooftop garden maintenance. The housekeeper will coordinate with vendors, staff, and family members in a busy, staffed household. Pay is $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Fluent Spanish speaker.
• Self-directed and proactive.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Experienced with household systems and schedules.
• Comfortable working in a staffed household and around family members and other staff.
• Able to handle housekeeping and light household-management responsibilities.
• Experienced with laundry and garment care.
• Good communication skills for coordinating schedules and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Proactively clean and tidy the home, including a daily walkthrough.
• Manage laundry and household tasks, including family laundry, folding, organizing, and dry-cleaning drop-off, pick-up, and scheduling.
• Maintain the rooftop garden and outdoor space.
• Oversee household inventory.
• Make beds.
• Tidy common areas.
• Keep the kitchen tidy, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and taking out the trash.
• Maintain organization and develop new systems when needed.
• Coordinate effectively with vendors, staff, and family members.
