About The Position

The Housekeeper helps create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, supporting their dignity, respect, and safety. The role maintains cleanliness in resident rooms, common areas, and support spaces; coordinates tasks with the housekeeping team; and supports resident move-ins and move-outs. The Housekeeper follows infection control and safety procedures, respects residents’ time, personal space, and belongings, and assists with resident evacuations during emergencies. The role also requires documentation in accordance with regulations and established policies and procedures, attendance at in-service training, and completion of assigned special projects. The listed duties are representative and not necessarily all-inclusive. This hourly, non-exempt role is in Environmental Services, has no supervisory responsibilities, and does not require travel. The schedule is part-time, totaling 18 hours per pay period in 3-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and family.
• Understanding of safety and infection control procedures.
• Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving equipment.
• Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or environmental services preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, common areas, and other support spaces.
• Coordinate housekeeping tasks with the housekeeping team.
