About The Position

The Housekeeper provides maintenance and cleaning services to Apex Residential facilities, ensuring that residential houses meet brand specifications, quality standards, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements. The role includes maintaining cleanliness and room inventories, handling lost-and-found items and reporting unusual circumstances or damage, performing a range of cleaning and laundry tasks, safely using authorized cleaning agents, following key and linen-handling procedures, and restocking housekeeping carts. The Housekeeper also assists clients, follows department grooming and dress codes and emergency procedures, and arrives on time for assigned shifts. The position requires reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance, and the ability to work weekends; some evenings and travel may be required. The work involves regular sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; frequent reaching and handling; and lifting or moving items weighing up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

Two years of experience providing professional housekeeping services.
Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
Reliable transportation.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques.
Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with participants.
Ability to work weekends; some evenings may be required.
Ability to travel if needed.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean assigned Apex Residential facilities according to brand-standard guidelines.
Maintain the inventory of items placed in client rooms.
Immediately report lost-and-found items to management, including the location or area where each item was found.
Report exceptional or unusual circumstances and room damage to management.
Mop, dust, disinfect surfaces, scrub bathrooms, deep-clean kitchens, make beds, and do laundry.
Use authorized cleaning agents properly and safely.
Follow proper key-control procedures.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere through appropriate conduct and communication with clients, coworkers, and management.
Follow proper procedures for handling dirty rags and linens.
Restock and maintain the housekeeping cart.
Assist clients with questions and requests.
Follow department grooming and dress codes.
Carry out Apex emergency procedures.
Arrive on time for assigned shifts and follow attendance standards.
Work independently or as a team member, manage assignments with minimal supervision, and complete expected work within set cost and time limits.
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, staff, and management to resolve work-related questions or problems.
