HOUSEKEEPER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Housekeeper performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments in a clean and orderly manner. The role provides attentive customer service and carries out cleaning and housekeeping tasks, including floor care, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning fixtures and surfaces, handling trash, cleaning bathrooms, and changing linens. The position also responds to guest queries and housekeeping problems, contributes to team efforts, and performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position at Pfizer in Pearl River, New York. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; further details are provided upon interview. The fixed pay rate is $18.03 per hour. Paid benefits are available after an introduction period, and most major holidays are off and paid.
Requirements
- Prior janitorial and floor care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service through attentive, one-on-one attention to detail.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Respond to housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
