About The Position

Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is hiring a per diem Housekeeper. Per diem shifts are available Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. The Housekeeper performs daily housekeeping activities in accordance with state, federal, health, and company standards, following instructions from the Director of Housekeeping Services to help maintain the facility safely. The role requires the ability to lift 40–50 pounds and to follow cleaning schedules as closely as possible. The pay rate is $25.63 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with state, federal, health, and company standards.
• Follow instructions from the Director of Housekeeping Services to help ensure the facility is maintained safely.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units, restrooms, recreational areas, and other areas as instructed.
• Discard waste and trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
• Follow work and cleaning schedules as closely as possible.
