About The Position

Sharon Center for Health & Rehabilitation, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is hiring a per-diem Housekeeper. The Housekeeper helps create a clean, healing environment that supports the comfort and well-being of residents, guests, and staff. This entry-level role offers an opportunity to learn about long-term care and potential career opportunities. Training and mentorship are provided.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention, and safety measures in long-term care is valued but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment, such as buffing machines and vacuums.
