About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center is hiring an experienced Housekeeper for its Environmental Services Department. The role supports Adventist HealthCare’s mission to extend God’s care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The Housekeeper performs cleaning and room-inspection activities, maintains bathroom supplies, reports damages or disturbances, and monitors cleaning supplies. This is a full-time evening-shift position for 40 hours per week, with work every other weekend and holidays according to the company holiday calendar. The listed pay range is $18.00–$22.79 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Advanced knowledge of cleaning products.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate at a level that allows safe and efficient job performance.
• Flexibility and dedication to working in a team environment.
• Ability to work with diverse communities.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or GED is highly desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust, and polish as part of a variety of cleaning activities.
• Ensure rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Notify a supervisor or manager of damages, deficits, and disturbances.
• Keep bathrooms stocked with supplies.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and order more as needed.
• Use supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.
