About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment. The role performs cleaning, custodial, sanitation, and general housekeeping duties throughout the facility, follows infection-control measures, and maintains cleaning supplies and equipment. Additional functions and tasks may be assigned, and management may adjust duties as circumstances require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
• Valid state driver's license where required by the facility.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

• Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the general upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate cleaning processes and germicides.
• Move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens and cooking utensils and silverware, and sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use.
• Clean and store equipment and supplies properly after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Stock supplies as needed.
• Follow all infection-control measures.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
