About The Position

The Housekeeper cleans resident rooms and shared areas of the community or care center to help ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and attractive environment. The role includes cleaning and maintaining common areas, offices, public restrooms, resident rooms, floors, and assigned exterior areas while safeguarding residents’ personal items. Cleaners and other hazardous materials must be used according to product instructions and department procedures.

This part-time role is based in a welcoming, home-like setting and serves residents and their families. Prior housekeeping or facilities experience is a plus, particularly in a multi-unit environment; experience with seniors, especially in a healthcare setting, is helpful. The employee must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Clean, straighten, and remove trash from common areas, offices, and public restrooms; clean sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and furniture, and replenish soap and paper products.

• Vacuum carpets and routinely sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain apartments in a safe, comfortable, and attractive manner while keeping residents’ personal items safe.
• Clean spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as observed or directed.
• Use cleaners and other hazardous materials according to product instructions and department procedures.
• Clean exterior windows, patios, and other outside areas as assigned.
