About The Position

Spring Arbor of Midlothian, VA is seeking a hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of the community and help create a positive environment for residents. The role requires knowledge of safety and sanitary rules and regulations.

The Housekeeper cleans vacant apartments in preparation for move-in, cleans occupied apartments on a weekly basis or as scheduled, and follows the cleaning schedule for common areas to ensure a high degree of cleanliness. The position also includes keeping cleaning supplies adequately stocked and maintaining clean, organized laundry and housekeeping/linen rooms.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Should be familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums and spray bottles, and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Must pass a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• Must adhere to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to the policy.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in using the Company Checklist and report problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean occupied apartments, respite apartments, and guest apartments as scheduled using the Company Checklist; report problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Detail-clean halls and other common areas as scheduled or when requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report needed items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Keep laundry rooms and housekeeping/linen rooms clean and organized.
• Clean dryer lint traps daily and clean the area behind washer and dryer equipment weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
