About The Position

The Housekeeper performs commercial cleaning at BRICK Gateway High School in Newark, New Jersey, using ServiceMaster TBS Division cleaning schedules, products, tools, and procedures. The position is scheduled from 10 AM to 2 PM and pays $17.00 per hour. On-the-job training is provided for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Show respect and understanding for coworkers and customers and maintain a pleasant attitude.
Wear the proper uniform at all times.
Be able to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
Be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Be able to stand, walk, push, stoop, kneel, and crouch constantly.

Responsibilities

Empty trash.
Dust furniture, including desks, chairs, and tables.
Dust exposed surfaces, including window sills, ledges, and moldings.
Clean glass and mirrors.
Clean and sanitize restrooms using ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
Vacuum and mop floors.
Perform weekly detailed cleaning.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
Complete special requests made by the client and communicate them in the company log.
Arrive at the scheduled time and work within allotted hours.
Follow company policies and procedures, wear the proper uniform, and contribute to a positive work climate.
