About The Position

The Housekeeper performs cleaning activities at The Row at Assembly Row in accordance with Colwen and brand standards. The role is responsible for cleaning, stocking, and maintaining assigned guest rooms; responding to guest and departmental requests; handling linens and laundry; protecting guest privacy; and ensuring rooms meet hotel standards. The position also includes reporting maintenance needs and performing other duties as requested.

Requirements

Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper; hotel experience preferred.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Remain discreet and respect guest privacy, working with the highest level of integrity.
Perform consistent work to the highest standard.
Work quickly without compromising quality.
Work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.
Interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly way.
Excellent prioritization and time-management skills.
Willingness to work a rotational seven-day work cycle, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Receive the assigned-room list from the manager and prioritize rooms.
Clean, stock, and maintain assigned guest rooms according to Colwen and brand standards.
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Check cleaning-cart inventory, replenish necessary supplies, and transport the cart to assigned floors and rooms.
Protect guest privacy; knock and announce before entering, and return later if a room is occupied.
Check and restock room amenities and supplies according to standards.
Make beds and stock bath linens according to standards.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and/or coffee stations.
Remove trash, dirty linens, towels, and room-service items from rooms.
Confirm that appliances are present and in clean working order.
Straighten desk areas and furniture; dust and polish furniture and remove marks or stains from walls and furnishings.
Vacuum carpets and clean floors.
Notify the maintenance department of needed repairs or maintenance.
Complete a final walk-around to ensure each room meets hotel standards.
Launder soiled linens, which may include loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels.
Take found items to the designated lost-and-found area.
Perform other duties as requested.
