About The Position

AvantStay is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Housekeeper for The Mara Hotel in Laguna Beach. The Housekeeper will manage and perform hotel room cleaning according to AvantStay guidelines and standards, service sequence, and inspection checklists, with the goal of exceeding guest expectations and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining room cleanliness, replacing linens, reporting room issues, monitoring supplies, and completing daily job lists and inspection paperwork. The role requires a flexible, full-time schedule that includes weekends and the ability to remain mobile for up to eight hours.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Availability to work a flexible, full-time schedule as necessary, including weekends.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to eight hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
• Attention to detail and ability to complete cleans in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout hotel rooms, including vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping according to AvantStay standards and guidelines.
• Remove trash, recycling, and compost from room receptacles.
• Clean and sanitize trash and recycling bins and replace their liners.
• Replace room linens, including bedding, sheets, and towels; clean linens are available because laundry service is performed offsite.
• Report room issues, including damage and security concerns.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and licensing laws.
• Check and report stock levels of consumables and cleaning supplies.
• Create and complete daily job lists and complete paperwork and inspection forms.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
