About The Position

Meadowlake Retirement Village in Oklahoma City is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the facility. The position performs routine and specialized cleaning in resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and other designated spaces, following facility policies, infection prevention and control standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role supports resident health, safety, comfort, and quality of life by helping maintain a clean and welcoming environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The listed pay is $14 per hour. The position is part-time.

Requirements

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.
Knowledge of how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.
Ability to use appropriate safety equipment and tools to identify hazards and follow community safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in laundry operations is preferred.
Experience in laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial laundry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other assigned areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.
Replenish housekeeping and restroom supplies as needed.
Safely operate housekeeping equipment and properly use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow infection prevention, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Prepare resident rooms for new admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Respond promptly to spills, environmental hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Maintain clean and organized housekeeping carts, closets, equipment, and supply areas.
Respect resident privacy, dignity, belongings, and personal space while performing duties.
Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Complete assigned cleaning schedules, checklists, and required documentation.
Perform deep cleaning and other assigned housekeeping duties.
