About The Position

Holiday Inn Chelsea is seeking motivated, friendly housekeepers with an eye for detail. The Housekeeper performs cleaning activities in accordance with company and brand standards, maintaining assigned guest rooms and supporting hotel operations. The role requires respectful, discreet interactions with guests and the ability to work quickly while maintaining quality. Housekeepers work a rotational seven-day work cycle, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper; hotel experience preferred.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Remain discreet, respect guest privacy, and work with the highest level of integrity.
Consistently perform work to a high standard.
Work quickly without compromising quality.
Work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.
Interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Excellent prioritization and time-management skills.
Willingness to work a rotational seven-day work cycle, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Receive the assigned-room list from the manager and prioritize rooms.
Clean, stock, and maintain assigned guest rooms according to Colwen and brand cleanliness standards.
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Check cleaning-cart inventory, replenish supplies, and transport the cart to assigned rooms.
Protect guest privacy; knock and announce before entering, and return later if a room is occupied.
Check and restock room amenities and supplies according to standards.
Make beds and stock bath linens according to standards.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and coffee stations as applicable.
Remove trash, dirty linens and towels, and room-service items from rooms.
Check that room appliances are present, clean, and in working order.
Straighten desk areas and furniture; dust and polish furniture and remove marks or stains from walls and furnishings.
Vacuum carpets and clean floors.
Notify maintenance of needed repairs or maintenance.
Conduct a final walk-around to ensure rooms meet hotel standards.
Launder soiled linens, which may include loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels.
Take found items to the designated lost-and-found area.
Perform other duties as requested.
