About The Position

Join our team as a Housekeeper/Room Attendant (Ama de Llaves) at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Idaho Falls. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. Pay is hourly plus tips. Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience is helpful, but not required
  • Must be clean, professional, and well-groomed
  • Must possess good organizational/time management skills
  • Must be dependable and reliable
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be in good physical condition as the job requires frequent pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, handling, and grasping
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds (lifting above the shoulder is also required)
  • Able to relate well to hotel guests and coworkers
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Able to learn quickly
  • Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and ask for clarification when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Cleans guest rooms according to hotel brand standards
  • Performs assigned shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Restocks guest rooms and bathrooms with supplies and towels
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests
  • Moves furniture and other items as needed
  • Reports maintenance issues to the supervisor or engineering staff
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment at all times
  • Understands emergency procedures for the entire hotel
  • Assists in the hotel laundry as needed
