About The Position

The Housekeeper/Janitor performs cleaning duties to maintain a clean environment throughout the Billings Clinic campus and branch locations. The position may include cleaning one or more areas, such as patient rooms, patient-care areas, offices, public spaces, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, and laundry areas. It may also include laundry services for specific organizational units, including coordinating service needs with departments and handling soiled and clean laundry and linens. The employee follows Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct, and service expectations; maintains required competency in relevant organizational, departmental, and outside-agency standards; and identifies goals for their own growth and development. Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet departmental or organizational needs.

Responsibilities

Clean and service assigned areas throughout Billings Clinic, including patient rooms, patient-care areas, offices, public areas, waiting rooms, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and laundry areas.
Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, finishing, buffing, and refinishing hard surfaces; shampoo carpets and furniture.
Remove trash and linen from assigned areas.
Wash windows, walls, vents, lights, and baseboards using appropriate disinfectants.
Dust and polish hard surfaces.
Move furniture and equipment within Billings Clinic and to off-site storage as needed; change curtains and drapes as needed.
Deliver and replenish supplies as needed.
Perform laundry services for specific areas, including coordinating daily service needs with departments; collecting, sorting, and weighing soiled laundry, linen, and garments; and folding, counting, stacking, and distributing clean items.
Maintain competency in applicable environmental, employee, and patient safety standards.
Identify needs and set goals for personal growth and development, and meet mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet departmental or organizational needs.
